Let’s Celebrate Love

Have you ever wondered how love is celebrated? I have, and I’ve often wondered how the covering of love celebrates me. If we think about love, and how vast it is. We would come to a deeper knowledge of its magnitude and how we should wrap ourselves in its true and unfailing rewards. These are the rewards that allow us to be perfect and complete in the eyes of God.

How we honor and celebrate love is important, and so is the embracement of love in our lives. Honoring love and its embracement’s are equal to honoring God in prayer because God is love. In our honor, our will and strength are intentionally given to His glory, leading us to a judgement free zone of no risk in Him.

Our journey into this topic will unwrap a few things by asking two united questions. The first question is what are the celebrations of love and why should we celebrate? The second question following will touch on what the covering of love is and how do we wrap ourselves in its truth and embracement?

What are the celebrations of love and why should we celebrate?

Throughout our lives, we are met with constant necessities. Amongst the many things we face, the most important necessity is to love. Therefore first, we need to love through it all! Even when our lives show our weakest moments, we should love clearer, and when our love is tested, we should yet hunger for love in the examples shown by Jesus Christ.

Now, this can be difficult, and personally, my weakest moments have been challenging. Combining those moments with the tests of love, have often spun into a whirlwind of unrest. But! When a commandment is given, we should find every plausible way to complete this calling to honor God.

Love can likewise be intimidating! Especially when our desire and hope is to walk in the trueness of love. In these spaces, it’s important for us to know that love cast out all fear. Even when the pains of life’s distress somehow entangle us in its misfortunes and risks. We should remember that love covers multitudes.

A similar setting is when we’re afforded the opportunity to love, but hesitant of what we’ll gain in return. In this return, our biggest culprit is not what we’ll receive from others, but from ourselves.

When we think of the celebrations of love, most would think of Galatians 5:22-23 where love is shown as the first Fruit of the Spirit or 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, that reads, “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, it is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance”.

However, its deeper. The celebrations of love are also indispensable, because further in verse thirteen it tells us that “three things will last forever. Faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love”. This next alludes to a love known as Agape love that is selfless, sacrificial and unconditional.

As we celebrate love, we are celebrating God. Just think about it. In our engagement with Him, we walk and talk fearlessly. In love, we have the protection of favor that covers as a shield. We celebrate love because as Jesus exudes His provisions as our Shepard, He continuously leads and guides us making our crooked paths straight.

Love is celebrated through the discernment we receive as Holy Spirit leads and guide us into all truth. Through the outpour of His Spirit, we are revived and strengthened daily with grace and mercy. Our prayer life is strengthened as we celebrate love, and our transformations are seen by others as the love of God shines through us.

Are you EXCITED! Are you ready to CELEBRATE? I know I am, because this kind of love only God can give!

What is the covering of love and how do we wrap ourselves in its truth and embracement?

The covering of love and how we wrap ourselves in its truth and embracement leads us to 1 John 4:16 and 1 John 4:8 that tells us that God is love.

The cover of love is a gift from God that connects us to divine favor. It is also a Kingdom ethic where we’re placed for the purpose and plan of God to be fulfilled as He orchestrates His will on Earth. In this Kingdom ethic, we also have a covering through our obedience made known by faith bringing glory to God.

In our obedience, we bask in the pleasures of God which is all encompassing. He takes pleasure to lead and guide us for His name’s sake according to Psalm 79:9. When we hope in his love and truth in our obedience, God is delighted! This is good news because Gods glory is spread and seen throughout our lives and those we meet.

As we wrap ourselves in Gods truth and embracement, we’ll look at Psalm 27:4-6. Here David had one thing that he desired. He desired to be in the house of the Lord. David wanted it all, and frankly, so do I! David knew that in the house of the Lord were perfections in being able to meditate in His Temple. David knew that God would hide any troubles that would come. And my favorite, God would hide David in His sanctuary! That God would place David on a high rock out of reach and hold his head high. David was a true psalmist, so he was joyful to offer sacrifices with shouts of joy while singing and praising God.

I don’t know about you. But I’m screaming and singing for joy to be covered by God and to be wrapped in His love. I’m grateful to bask in His truth and the encirclement of Him! Yes! This is the presence of our Almighty God!

The Lord is powerful, gracious, Holy and abundant in His love. Love truly covers multitudes and is imperative! It is my prayer today that you will look at love again and study the deep affection that God has for His love for us and our obedience where “love is the greatest of these”.

God is honored through prayer because our will and strength are intentionally given to His glory. Our first love is remembered because the “eye” is focused on Christ.

As the believer prays. Peace, joy, and satisfaction, that is only found in a close relationship with Jesus is evoked. Through prayer, it is recalled how Christs’ worthiness, humility, and holiness on the cross places Him in a class all by himself.

Because of His infinite perfections, greatness, and worth, when prayers are uttered, the level of faith is increased, divine insight is given, God’s truth goes forth and His covenants and promises are guarded in the heart.

1 Chronicles 14:14 says, “so David inquired of God again, and God answered him…” Prayer acts like a soldier, the warrior never quits, the mind of Christ is kept and instructions are given to handle situations or tasks.

Even when it is unknown what to pray, Romans 8:26 NIV says, “the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”

It is important in prayer as said in Mark 11:24 NIV “to believe that you have received” “through God’s wisdom, understanding and not forgetting or turning from them” Proverbs 4:5 NIV.

Lastly, to accurately discern and pray the Word, “we must abide in Him” John 15:7 NIV and “…forgive” Mark 11:25 NIV.
